As I followed the VW van carrying the bride and bridesmaids to the wedding ceremony I couldn’t help but think that Chris + Amanda’s wedding was going to be awesome. And it was 🙂 Amanda and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day at her grandmother’s pre-Civil War home near Sheboygan. The setting was gorgeous, from the bookcases full of old books and antique furniture to the alpacas in the backyard, and a brunch spread of handmade muffins and fresh-brewed coffee, it all made for a perfect start to the day. But the perfect settings didn’t stop at the farm home! Fom there they girls headed to the lake house for the ceremony on the shores of Lake Michigan. From their stunning vantage point under an arch and chandelier that Amanda created, she and Chris said their vows to each other and became husband and wife. Following the ceremony guests played lawn games, enjoyed the view, and had cocktails while the wedding party took photos down on the beach. For dinner, the wedding celebration moved on to the Aviation Heritage Center of Wisconsin. The venue, which is located right at the airport, was amazing. Amanda designed an airplane mobile to hang from the center of the room, and with colored lights bouncing off it, it was truly a stunning installation. Amanda + Chris’s artistic flare was evident all around their wedding. I loved their whimsical touches to the day, which made it so unique. Congratulations on your marriage Amanda + Chris! I hope you have many days as gorgeous as your wedding day to walk down the beach of Lake Michigan!
