Abi + Mason were married on a beautiful rainy day at YMCA Camp Nawakwa near Lac du Flambeau. I arrived at the camp and met Mason, who was keeping his eye on the weather, and as long as the storms held out, him and Abi would be married on the beach. Abi + Mason met at the camp when she visited with her family. Now, Abi has become the Camp Program Director and they live there, so it was the all-around, most perfect spot for them to get married. I explored the camp a bit and then met up with Abi and girls to capture getting ready photos. There was so much excitement, that even if it did rain, it wouldn’t dampen the mood. And it did rain 🙂 Right as Abi was walked down the aisle by her dad, a few drops started. Right as Abi and Mason met in front to the lake, it started to pour. But umbrellas appeared, guests scooted close together and Abi + Mason were married at their gorgeous spot overlooking Big Crooked Lake surrounded by their family and friends. After the ceremony, the rain stopped and we were able to explore the gorgeous grounds and Northwoods for photos. This wedding holds a special place in my heart, because my husband and I were married at a summer camp on a very rainy day in early summer too, which brought back a lot of fond and soggy memories 🙂 And rainy day weddings are good luck, which I was told, and I am sure Abi + Mason were also told 🙂 But, I don’t think these two need luck, because they have a lot of love between them and surrounding and supporting them. It truly was a joyful day and I am so glad that I was able to be part of it! Congrats you two on your marriage!!!
