Chelsea + Cory :: Shawano, WI Wedding Photography » Marshfield and Wisconsin Wedding Photography

When Chelsea and I first talked, she told me that she was planning her wedding around the way the fall sun shone through an oak tree on her family’s property. I knew this was a wedding I wanted to photograph. And then I met Chelsea + Cory in La Crosse for their engagement session, I found out that they were also an incredibly sweet and fun couple, so I really wanted to photograph their wedding 🙂 Fast forward a few months to when I found out I was pregnant and due on October 8th, the date of their wedding and when the the sun would be shining perfectly through Chelsea’s oak tree. Thankfully, Chelsea + Cory are an amazing and trusting couple as well. They were willing to work with me and trust me and my instinct that I would be able to photograph their wedding. Photography was really important to them, and the fact that my baby’s arrival wasn’t up to me or them, was I’m sure, not a calming thought leading up to their big day. We worked together to find a photographer that would work with Chelsea if I wasn’t able to be there (Thank you Jen!!!!) and stayed in touch that final week of their wedding. And on October 8th, I was so, so, glad that I was able to photograph their beautiful fall wedding. Because they truly planned a stunning wedding on one of the most gorgeous fall days. Chelsea’s family was welcoming and gracious withe their home and property. From their home, to the woods, to the lone oak, it was a photography dream. After Chelsea + Cory’s intimate ceremony and digging up the bourbon, (which worked because the sky was cloudless and blue) we headed to the Shawano Park Pavillion to eat, dance and celebrate their marriage.
