Brittany + Nathan :: Waupaca, Wisconsin Woods Wedding

At the time of their wedding, Brittany was living in Missouri and Nathan was living in Minnesota, so planning a wedding while they lived in different states was tough. But you wouldn’t have known that when attending their wedding. I met Brittany and her family (who all came from California) at a beautiful cabin near Waupaca. Brittany got ready with her mom and sisters and then we headed to Nathan’s family’s land and cabin. Through the field, over a bridge, past the cabin through another field and next to the pine grove, these two met before their wedding day. I met Nathan in the pines where he was finishing tying the ribbon to Brittany’s bouquet. She chose Nathan’s boutineer and he chose her flowers, which was a sweet touch. After exploring the land taking pictures, these two took a moment together in the pines before becoming husband and wife. It was a beautiful, heart-felt wedding, with a handfasting ceremony. Their family members contributed a rope or ribbon and a wish for their marriage while their rings were warmed and passed through their group of guests. The two took inspiration from their wedding day from Lord of the Rings. After the ceremony and hugs were exchanged, Brittany + Nathan and their guests enjoyed the warm September day by taking rides around the property on the Gator, playing lawn games, and enjoying a pig roast. Fireworks and a roaring bonfire were the perfect way to end this beautiful, intimate wedding day.
