One of my goals this winter was to create our wedding album. After almost two years of marriage, the majority of our wedding photos were on a DVD (and a few different hard drives) at our home. I love our wedding photos and our photographer created so, so many beautiful and artistic images from the day. I wanted to display them in a way that did them justice and would keep them looking just as gorgeous for generations to come. I want my brides to also have a beautiful way to show off their wedding photos besides on a disc in a desk drawer. So with out much further ado, I am so excited to introduce a new product for Laura Schmitt Photography: Heirloom Albums. The albums come in three different options: Linen, Leather and Tuscan Leather
Linen Albums
–Linen albums come in the square sizes of 8 x 8, 10 x 10 and 12 x 12 with a minimum of a 10 page spread. They are available in all the colors above. The photos are printed on Fuji archival paper and have a subtle gloss and rich saturated color. Linen books are thinner and lighter, which make them a great option for portrait, engagement, or sign-in books. The are more affordable than the leather albums, but they are still lovely and archival.
Leather Albums – Tuscan Leather
Our wedding photographer, Emily Steffen, shoots film and creates gorgeously soft images. Since it rained (well, totally poured) on our wedding day, our images had an even softer spring look. I choose the 12 x 12 Tuscan leather album with matte pages to truly show off our photographs.
The 10 x 10 album is a perfect size for a wedding album. But I wanted the images to have a big impact. This is a 3 photo layout spread across the 12 x 12 album. Opened, the spread is 24 x 12″ and features the photographs spectacularly. The images are printed across the fold, which creates an uninterrupted look. I couldn’t choose which photo I liked best so I used all three 🙂
The leather Tuscan album comes in 8 x 8, 10 x 10 and 12 x 12 with a minimum of a 10 page spread. The distressed leather options are pictured above. This gorgeous heirloom album features a velvety matte paper which has no glare, a lower contrast and is easy to view from all angles, and does not show fingerprints. The Tuscan albums also have an option for a cover cameo window (which is what I have). Each Tuscan album comes with a chevron fabric bag.
The regular leather albums also come in the 8 x 8 , 10 x 10 and 12 x 12 size with a minimum of a 10-page spread. The colors are varied and pictured above. These albums feature photographic prints bound in full-grain leather covers and a hard substrate between pages. The luster pages are Fuji archival and feature a subtle gloss and rich saturated color. Weighty and resistant to damage, the leather albums are perfect for a wedding book. The smaller 8 x 8 size is a great choice for a parent’s album. A cameo window is not available in the leather covers. Each album comes with a chevron fabric bag.
It is never too late to create your wedding album, so if you are interested in learning more about the options and prices, please let me know!
Thank you again to Emily Steffen for our lovely wedding photos and capturing our rainy wedding day so beautifully!
