They say home is where the heart is and Nikki + Colin came back to their Midwest roots for their August wedding. They grew up in Lodi and went to college at UW-Madison, where they eventually started dating. Now, they live in Los Angeles, but came back to Wisconsin to celebrate their wedding with family and friends from all over the country. From getting ready overlooking the State Capital and flowers from Saturday morning’s farmers market, to a first look on the steps of the Memorial Union and group photos around the Capital, their wedding was truly a Madison wedding. They held their wedding on the rooftop terrace at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Their ceremony, which included a hand-fasting ceremony and written vows, was so genuine and unique. Following the ceremony, cocktails were served, guests mingled and kind words and funny stories were shared at the street-side lobby of the museum. From there the guests headed back up to the terrace for amazing food stations, a fun band, and dancing into the night overlooking State Street. Nikki + Colin are such a sweet couple, it was truly a great day to be a part of. Congratulations Nikki + Colin! Happy married life!
