On a misty Saturday last June, Nicola + John were married! I arrived at Nicola’s home in Custer to capture the ladies getting ready. There is something lovely about getting ready for your wedding in your childhood home, surrounded by your family. Nicola + John were married during a traditional and beautiful Catholic Mass at Sacred Heart in Custer. From there, we headed back to the family home for photos around their beautiful property with the bridal party …. plus a few frozen pizzas 🙂 Family holds an important part in their lives, so Nicola + John went to the old family parish and cemetery for their second stop. The liked the idea of paying respects to their ancestors who have gone before them. They also had an amazing display of family wedding photos at their reception. Their marriage is one in a long line of marriages and it is amazing to think about the tradition of love and respect that has gone before them. After photos we headed to the Waupaca Ale House to celebrate with family and friends and dance the evening away to the sounds of a swing band. And somehow, everyone at their wedding was an amazing dancer, it was so fun to watch and photograph! Their wedding day was a joyous, traditional, and beautiful day to be part of. I hope your first year as a married couple has been just just as wonderful as the first day 🙂
