Hello!
I’m Laura, the photographer, at Laura Schmitt Photography. I have lived in Marshfield since 2007, and have run my business full-time since 2013. Since I don’t have a physical storefront or studio downtown, I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself!
Besides being a photographer, I’m also a few other things too! Like wife to Dan, mama to Autumn and Baby Cedar (He arrived in December!) and dispenser of food to our kitty. When I’m not taking photographs, you can find me running, biking, canoeing, spending time outside or reading stories with Autumn and Cedar.
I am located in Marshfield, Wisconsin (although for a few years when I started my business we lived in Rock Dam and then Neillsville) and frequently travel throughout Wisconsin, back home to Iowa, and around the Midwest for photography.
I am so honored to photograph the journeys and milestones of so many families and friends. From the moment you embark on your adventure as husband and wife to your first (or third) baby, and as you move through life and experience milestones together, I hope that you will look back at that moment in life and be able to see where you started and where you are today.
With my roots in photojournalism, my love of creating artistic portraits, and over seven years of experience photographing wedding days, I am able to tell the story of your beautiful adventure together. I really believe that, in life, to love is one of the biggest adventures of all.
