Maria + Jamie :: Wausau, Wisconsin Wedding Photography

Last May, on a beautiful Saturday, Maria + Jamie were married! The two met in the most serendipitous way. Maria, who was renting an Airbnb on the lake, paddled by Jamie, who was on the dock with his dog. From there, fast forward to May 2023, when they were married in the exact same spot at Jamie’s family lake house. And on those same docks, we took some gorgeous photos, back where it all started 🙂 The couple, who lives in Madison area, planned their up-north Wisconsin wedding with Wausau as the destination. Their reception was held in downtown Wausau at the Jefferson Street Inn. What I remember most, besides the surprise rain storm that hit between photo locations, was how excited Maria + Jamie were to be married. They had a family emergency about an hour before the ceremony, which prohibited Maria’s parents from attending the ceremony. This could have ruined their day, but after regrouping,  they carried on with grace. Her uncle stepped in and there were still a lot of happy tears as Maria walked down the aisle!  Their sweet ceremony on the lake was complete with personal vows and their unity was sealed with a kiss … and a personal Bears and Packer Flag 🙂 From there we headed to a favorite park where they walk the dog then back to Wausau to celebrate with family and friends.
