I know that Covid was a time of immense stress for all couples planning a 2020 wedding. But some of my most favorite celebrations came out of this time. Early in the spring and summer, when allowed, Brides and Grooms were required to pair down their guest lists. Those who chose to go ahead with their original wedding date, had the most intimate and lovely ceremonies. Jenny + Mark were planning a big celebration in Wausau for their June 2020 wedding. Unfortunately, they were only allowed 14 people (including myself and the pianist) at their church ceremony. They postponed the party until the following June, when traveling was easier and celebrating with more family and friends was possible. I know it was not how they initially pictured their wedding day. But friends and family surprised them and tailgated outside the church with their livestream of the ceremony, in the rain. They partied, blew bubbles, popped champagne and had a socially distanced receiving line after the ceremony. I tell you what, these two are so loved! Their 2020 wedding day in June was filled with so much joy still and their smiles were so huge. The rain cleared and we were able to take photos on the Eau Pleine where Mark grew up fishing. Their first dance and parent dances were held on Half Moon Lake outside the Pinewood Supper Club, where the enjoyed dinner afterwards. It was truly a lovely wedding day!
In June 2021, one day shy of their one year anniversary, Jenny + Mark got to celebrate with their friends and family! They partied at the Jefferson Street Inn with guests from all over the country. And people were very ready to party and to celebrate the couple! It was so much fun to dance, drink and toast to a happy anniversary with Jenny + Mark!
