Congratulations to Katie + Carl on their one year anniversary! Katie and Carl not only planned a destination wedding in Door County, but also a vacation for their family and friends. The Iowa natives, who currently live in the DC area, wanted to host a wedding getaway that lasted all weekend long. They spend a lot time together enjoying the beautiful county at Carl’s family cabin in Bailey’s Harbor, and decided it was the perfect place to pull of their laid back wedding weekend. The couple planned their wedding at the Gordon Lodge up the road, and were about as relaxed as it comes. Not much encapsulates Door County better than Gordon Lodge, a beautiful venue surrounded by water and woods. They were married overlooking the coast of Lake Michigan on a gorgeous August day. These two had quite a year and welcomed their first child in May! Yay!
