Caitlin + Willie :: Camp Nawakwa Wedding Photography

I met Caitlin + Willie on their wedding day at Camp Nawakwa. I work with a lot of couples who come from out of state to get married back home, in this case, Caitlin’s home of Wisconsin. They chose to get married in the forest on the grounds of the camp set on Big Crooked Lake. It was a beautiful September day and for all their guests at the camp that weekend, it was Wisconsin fall weather at it’s finest. As I mentioned in the past, summer camp weddings have a special place in my heart since (almost six years ago!) my husband and I were married at Kamp Kenwood on Lake Wissota. This was the second time I was able to photograph at Camp Nawakwa and the venue has become one of my favorite places to photograph! Caitlin + Willie met when they were living in Wyoming. They spent lots of time enjoying the outdoors together (hence the trail running shoes pictures:)) and then moved cross-country to New Hampshire, where they returned to after they were married. Guests, who traveled from both coasts and Alaska to help them celebrate, spent the weekend at the camp and enjoying the hospitality of these two and their families. They planned a laid-back wedding day in the pines with amazing food, good beer, lawn games and music by Willie’s band.
